Cooper CS5 ULTRA TOURING Reviews
The CS5 ULTRA features the most advanced tyre technology with an emphasis on handling to give you the performance edge along with a quiet and smooth ride.
Key Features
- Wear Square Indicators change as your tyres wear, making it easy to determine the tread life remaining, giving you confidence and safety you can see.
- 3D Micro-Gauge Sipes allow the tread blocks to interlock for maximum stability, increased traction, handling and safety.
- Stabiledge Technology, Cooper’s unique rubber bumpers are added to the gaps between tread blocks to keep them open and stable for maximum high ride stability, traction and precise handling.
- R-Tech Engineering, for high ride comfort, combines an extended and stiff bead filler in the lower sidewall with a Variable Density Nylon Overlay over the belts. This delivers crisp handling while maintaining passenger comfort. R-Tech gives you a safer, softer and smoother ride.
- Next-Gen Silica Compound, with Adaptive Technology, provides extreme weather traction while delivering lower rolling resistance and improved mileage. The silica content is optimised to deliver more grip, improved safety and extended tread life.

Had these on my car for a couple of years now. I recall the day they were fitted....the improvement was immediately noticeable. I use them for daily driving, and on long holiday drives. In any condition, wet dry sealed or unsealed, these tyres are amazing. After two years they show little wear . I could not be happier with them. I have tried many brands over the years, but the Coopers are the best. I will be staying with this brand from now on

Tyre used on a Mazda MPV. Much better than the slippy Falkens they replaced. They instilled confidence on dry and wet roads and are quiet. Did get a couple of punctures from screws and nails on roads. Overall we really liked the tyres and now the Cooper brand.

Excellent grip in the wet and very good handling in the dry. Dealer wants to put 36psi in them and makes them hard as a brick to drive on but aired down to 34 psi and it's sweet. Although at 36psi, it does have very good fuel economy as expected. ( i was surprised it was nearing corolla territory with the the 1.8 vvti engine we had before ). Makes me feel safe to drive my family with these tyres and the shop sold them to me at better than online prices!

I bought a set of cooper C 5 tyres hoping to get more than 20000 to 25000 km out of them like other premium performance tyres I have had. I was mistaken to think these would be different I have done 21000km on these tyres and I reacon I only have another 5000 until they need changing. They are bad in the wet and only average in the dry. Not suitable for a V8 ute commodore

The Mondao is a front wheel drive diesel with 320NM torque. I consider myself a careful driver but struggle to get more than 20km from a set of tyres. I'm approaching 50,000km now on the Cooper tyres. Well worth the extra expense. They are not as grippy as some tyres I've had but that is a compromise for the extra tread wear.

Generally happy with the tyres but there is more wear than I expected and will have to be replaced earlier than planning. Quite expensive to initially fit and you need to keep up on the 10,000km rotation to qualify for the Cooper warranty. I also do use a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPM) and find it extremely beneficial as it helps maintain tyre wear. We picked up a screw n the rear RH tyre once, tyre started to deflate so upon immediate notification of losing pressure, was able to pull up and prevent rim/car damage. We use the Ford Territory to pull a 17ft Jayco van (semi off-road) and has no problem doing so what so ever. Go MTB'ing and hiking so have driven a lot of dirt fire roads with and without van. Have once driven the car and tyres along a 4WD track for a couple of kms. Not too knarly but had large rocks and washed out ruts so had to drive extremely slow to navigate correctly and safely.

I had previously been running Pirelli DragonSport on my Falcon and was quite happy with them, but couldn't get Pirellis where I now live, so gave the Coopers a try. They have a good reputation in 4wd tyres and bragged about an 80,000km warranty. I didn't really expect to get that much, but i did expect them to get past 27,000km.
Unfortunately they're now worn out.
I mostly do laidback highway driving. I don't take corners hard, and don't spin the wheels. Very disappointed.

Great tyres to drive on. Had 2 sets now of ultra touring 235/55 R18 and and came with a 80,000km warranty. Both times, the tyres haven’t gotten there and fell short by 20,000knms. Cooper have honoured the warranty on both sets but I think I’ll have a change of brand next time
