Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX 050 Reviews

These tyres came as OEM when I bought the car. I was quite surprised as to how good these tyres were for grip in wet & dry conditions. I like the odd little bit of spirited driving when going through roundabouts, when there are no other vehicles on there of course. Lately these tyres have begun to slip when moving off from stop signs or traffic lights in the wet, it first happened to my wife a couple of days ago and she mentioned it to me. Blow me down if it didn't happen to me over the next 2 days. Yesterday I had these tyres replaced in Caloundra. I was in two minds as to whether to go with the original Dunlop make, I eventually went with the Dunlop 215/55R/17 94W SP SPORT FM800. Mainly because they had them Special at 4 for the price of 3 and because they never had the OEM's in stock at the store. Driving home to Caboolture/Morayfield in the rain yesterday these tyres are totally different, very quiet, comfortable ride & grippy, they'd want to be for new tyres. :-)

Work car so it cops I hiding - changed from Perelli scorpions (58K) changed to these as I only will have this car for the next 6-8 months. So far so good wet performance has been great. Not as responsive as the perellis but happy I changed as we have had a lot of rain and they feel way safer.

A good tyre for general road use. Quiet on most surfaces. Does not bite the road when being used for spirited driving on twisty stuff. My next set of tyres will need to be stronger at managing lateral change.

Good all round tyre, Tyres are nice and quiet on road. I got 82,000km, brand new CRV, factory fitted tyre came with Dunlop SP Sports maxx 050 104H. Got car serviced 82k. Km, changed front tyres(dunlop). I have driven on road and the handle great in the wet and dry condition.

Had these on from new and very happy with them. They are excellent value for money compared with some other brands. Handling is predictable in both wet and dry , and exceptional on highway driving. Got 65000kms out of the set which I guess is a little on the low side but overall a good value quality tyre

Came as original fit, never had Dunlop before. Good wearing but very noisy and harsh. Will be looking for something else as these are also in the premium price bracket where there are many choices. Could be better in the wet, excellent stopping power in the dry.

The car came with these tyres but when looking to replace them, I was met with the cost & recommendations to go for something quieter. Not sure what to get
