Falken has officially dropped its latest all-terrain flagship — the Wildpeak AT04 — and it’s already
shaping up to be one of the most interesting tyre releases of the year. Building on the enormous
popularity of the AT3W and the more recent AT3WA, this fourth-generation all-terrain aims squarely
at the growing “touring-meets-off-road” market that Aussie buyers have pushed into over the last
few years.
A More Serious All-Terrain for Modern 4X4s
Falken says the AT04 has been engineered specifically for heavier, more powerful modern vehicles
— think 200 and 300 Series Land Cruisers, Y62 Patrols, Rangers, LC79s and the big American
trucks. Load ratings, sidewall construction, and overall footprint have all been bumped up to suit
these platforms.
Key upgrades include: - A stronger, more impact-resistant carcass designed for harsh outback and
farm use. - Completely reworked sidewall lugs for improved puncture protection and grip when
aired down. - A new tread pattern with interlocking blocks improving stability on-road and
loose-surface performance. - Enhanced water evacuation channels for better wet-weather
confidence. - Reduced pattern noise for quieter touring.

A Tyre Built for Real Touring
Where the previous Wildpeak generations leaned a little towards off-road bias, the AT04 aims
directly at the 50/50 crowd — drivers who spend most of the year doing school runs and commuting
but want serious performance when it’s time to load up, head remote, and get dusty.
Falken’s updates focus on stone ejection, heat resistance, bead-to-sidewall strength, and
long-distance touring wear patterns.

Sizes and Australian Market Availability
Falken has confirmed a wide range of LT construction options from launch, with more coming
throughout 2025. Expect a heavy focus on 17–20 inch sizes suitable for modern dual-cabs and
wagons, especially those with GVM upgrades.

Final Thoughts
The all-terrain market is fiercely competitive, and the AT04 arrives ready to take on the best.
Stronger construction, better road manners, and a clear focus on touring performance suggest this
may be Falken’s most capable A/T tyre yet.
