- Good day, Jared, from Tyre Review here, and I'm with Paul and Michelle and Paul and Michelle have been rolling on the Conti-CrossContact ATR in their Subaru Outback for the past six months?
- yup.
- It's been six months already.
- Easily
- yup
- six months, yeah
- And first impressions, What do you think of it?
- I really like them, We like the way that they look on our car and
- [Jared] You're all about looks
- Definitely
- Fair enough
- I like that they have the little guards so that if you sort of skid off against a curve, it protects your wheels.
- Paul does that a fair bit, does he?
- Definitely
- Yeah I do
- Not me ever
- No, no, no.
- You don't have reputation at all.
- And we got them put on the car not long after we got the actual car. So I haven't had a lot of comparisons but, they just feel like quite a good safe tyre. I feel like they're reliable in wet and dry conditions.
- Yeah. Do you feel like they're sort of planted on the road in terms of like, you know, when you get spirited during driving Michelle?
- Which is not very often.
- Say Paul when you get spirited when you're driving?
- Definitely like there's a few off-ramps on the highway and yeah, normally you sort of have to be on the brakes a little bit, but I don't know. They're pretty grippy.
- which is pretty impressive given that they're kind of heading, well they're basically an all-terrain tyre for the soft Raiders or whatever these cars are called these days.
- Yeah, that's what they call them.
- What sort of, do you know what pressures you've been running them at Paul?
- We've not had to add any pressure since they've been fitted to the car. So yeah. They've been checked a few times.
- Yeah
- so I suppose you stop pressuring on where you're going?
- Yup.
- [Jared] So it guys, what about the noise of these tyres?
- Well, at our servo, where we can still get fuel pumped in by the lovely man that owns the place.
- That's nice of him, the man that owns the store, pumps the fuel.
- Yup. He has commented. Why would we put tyres like these on our car, and thinks that they would be really noisy, but neither Paul or I feel like it's been an issue. No?
- No, not at all.
- On the highway, super quiet. Like I was expecting quite like hum in the cabin of the car, but I'm really surprised.
- Yeah, yeah. So like a good, fancy modern all-terrain that's actually is good for most things.
- Yeah. Well, it's not just a gimmick play You see that claims that, you know our tyres are quiet, blah, blah, blah. But yeah, they actually are.
- And I guess, given that they're an all-terrain tyre, have you actually had this in any mud at all?
- Quite a few gravel roads and yet every chance I can get I'm looking for bigger puddles to venture through and you definitely hear the mud clearing very quickly. And yeah, it's evident down the side of the car when we returned from a few day trips.
- And it stays grippy?
- Yeah, very. Like I've struggled to get the wheels to spin, to be honest.
- Yeah okay. That's pretty cool. Any final thoughts on these tyres, the Conti-CrossContact ATR?
- I would recommend them to people just looking for safe, reliable, all round tyre and it would've been nice if we'd maybe taken them on a few more dirty tracks, but we just haven't really had the time. But I think they're good.
- Yes and by the sound of it, you're actually going to keep them in the shed until you can put them back on again.
- Absolutely.
- Well, that's a pretty good way of ending this. Actually, no, hang on. We've got to find out what the kids think. So let's see what the kids think. So, Felix, what do you think about these tyres? Are they good?
- Yeah
- What do you like about these tyres?
- [Michelle] What do you like?
- Do you do you like how chunky they look?
- Yes
- Yeah. Do you think they're nice and quiet?
- Yes
- Do you think they make daddy a faster driver?
- No
- No? What do you think of that?
- Yes
- Yeah, they're good? You think they make mommy a safer driver? Yeah? I was waiting for you to shake your head on that one. So do you think people should buy these tyres of yours?
- Yes
