It's time for the Maxxis Razr MT 772 Long Term Tyre Review, and for that, we meet up with Ben. Ben has been driving on the Maxxis Razr MT 772 tyres for the last 12 months and has clocked 12,000 Ks. Jared: G'day. Jared from Tyre Review here. And today we're going to be doing a long term review on the Maxxis Razr MT 772. And Ben here has been driving on them for about 12 months and 12,000 Ks. Not that we're going to hold the 12,000 Ks against him over 12 months, because he's a bit of lightweight, but anyway. Ben: Yeah. No, they've been a great tyre. We put them on 12 months ago. We did a West coast trip 12 months ago for about five days. Jared: We got a snippet of that video here, over Ben's face. So since the off-road trip... Ben: Since the off-road trip, we've pretty much been doing highway use. Up to Orford every second weekend, there's a 100 kilometres of windy roads. The only thing I've noticed now after 12 months, they're starting to get a little bit harder and a little bit louder on the road. But that's 12 months down the track. So- Jared: Hmm. That's right. They're empty as well. Ben: Rubber's hardening up a little bit. Jared: So in comparison to the tyres you had before, are they still quieter or they're getting- Ben: They're a little bit noisier now. Jared: Yeah. Okay. Because you had all terrains before? Ben: Yeah we had the all terrains before and yeah, they were smooth. But, that's the only thing I've noticed. Jared: Okay. What about slippage or anything like that, on the tarmac? Ben: I've had no slippage whatsoever. Like I said, there's a lot of corners up to the East coast of Tasmania. And yeah, they haven't slipped out once. Jared: Yep. How would you rate yourself as a driver? Would you be driving miss Daisy or pretty hardcore? Ben: We go pretty hardcore sometimes. So, yeah. Jared: Yeah. Yeah. So you're definitely pushing them. Ben: Yep. Jared: Anything else you would say about these tyres? Ben: No, there's only one time we got stuck in the mud. Jared: Yep. Ben: Rock terrain pulled out of everything. Sands. Montezuma Falls we went to. And they went through everything. Like I said, there's only once I've used the winch to get us out of sticky situation. But I think there was two or three others that used it as well. Jared: Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Well, there you have it folks, 12 months on the Maxxis Razr MT and Ben's happy. Cheers!
Maxxis Bravo AT771 Long Term Review
How did the Maxxis Bravo AT771 all terrain tyre perform on our Ford Ranger long term test ute? We took the Maxxis Bravo AT771 on a mix of terrains such as highway, mud, sand and gravel terrain during several trips. After 10,000km, here's our feedback on Maxxis Bravo AT 771 tyres. Full transcript: Gudday, I'm Jared from Tyre Review, and over the last few months, I've spent about 10,000 Ks with the new Maxxis Bravo 771 tyres, and these are an all terrain tyre, but they're maybe not as aggressive as some of the other all terrains that I've been testing recently, but I've found that's a bit of a good thing, because they're probably more of a comfortable tyre. So, I find that they're better when I've got the family in the car and we're going on trips. So, I've tried them in the mud, and they worked well there. They cleared okay, and we tried them in the sand, where they bagged that really well. But the place that I found that they worked best was actually on gravel roads, which is where we are right now. But we took them up to the Northeast coast of Tasmania, and then on the way back, we came via the forestry roads, which had a lot of potholes, and I found that we could still maintain a really good speed going across those potholes, probably more than I would do a lot of the other tyres, because these tyres soaked up the bumps and the ruts so easily, and we still had good control despite it being a forestry road and being used by big vehicles all the time. So, I'd really recommend these tyres for SUVs or dual cab utes. The modern dual cab ute that spends a lot of its time on the blacktop, but on the weekend they might go elsewhere, might go bush or whatever, because they are a good, comfortable tyre for the family, but they can do off road well. The only thing I would say is if you are getting them mounted, I'd probably get the white lettering mounted on the inside, because I found that I had to clean it every two to three months. Unless you really like the look of the white writing, which some people get into, in which case just clean it every couple of months when you clean the car. For the 2018 Tyre Review Winter Adventure Ben took his Toyota Prado to the west coast of Tasmania equipped with the brand new Maxxis Razr MT tyre. How did they hold up? What did he think of them? Full Transcript: Jared: I'm Jared from Tyre Review and I'm here on the west coast of Tasmania for the Tyre Review winter adventure and I'm standing with Ben whose been driving on the Maxxis Razr M/T with his Prado this whole weekend. Ben, just describe the tracks for me that we've been driving on. Ben: Well the first day Queenstown was a nice start to the weekend and the we moved on to Montezuma Falls and it started to get a little bit hairier. And then Climies Track to finish it off. Jared: And we actually finished up on the Dunes as well. Ben: Oh the Dunes, the Dunes are just fun. Jared: Don't forget the Dunes. Ben: Dunes are all good. Jared: So how did these tyres go on the rock for you? Ben: Yeah on the rock on Climies Track they nailed it. Yeah we got through a pretty good day. Jared: Yup. Cool. Jared: Did you get stuck at all? Ben: We did on Climies. We got through the whole 17 1/2 kilometres and then 100 metres to go we found a big mud hole and got through it all right. Jared: So speaking of that, on the mud how did it go? Ben: Yeah really well. Very happy with them, I'd pick these tyres any day. Jared: Awesome. Jared: And on the sand how do you feel? Ben: Sand is just like driving on the road. It's good stuff. Jared: Nice, nice. So overall what do you think of them? Ben: Yeah definitely recommend these tyres. They go well with the Prado and they're not too loud on the road either. I was very surprised I thought being a mud tyre they'd be a bit loud but they're very good. Jared: Any sort of squirrelyness. We've been doing some fairly 100, 110 on the highways here. Any squirrelyness on the road? Ben: None at all. It's a very good tyre on the road. I was a bit dubious to start with, I thought they'd be a little bit slippery but no. Jared: Excellent. Cool. Ben: Gripped well. Jared: Thanks for coming along Ben. Maxxis Razr AT 811 Studio Overview

Maxxis Razr AT ~ Long Term Review
We did more than put the latest Maxxis Razr 811 AT to the test, we punished it! In this long term review, Jared talks about the latest all-terrain tyre from Maxxis and how it has stood up to 10,000km of day to day travel plus the off road tracks of southern Tasmania! Check out our full written review over here: https://www.tyrereview.com.au/maxxis-razr-at811-long-term-review Note that the puncture that was fixed in the video was caused earlier by running over a glass bottle on the verge of a road, and Jared hadn't got around to fixing it yet 🙄 We also don't recommend fixing punctures in the side wall, unless you're actually out on the trail and really need the tyre, as this type of puncture repair isn't 100% fail safe. ~~~~~~~~~~ Jared: G'day, Jared from Tyre Review here and I've been rolling for about the last eight and a half thousand Ks on the Maxxis RAZR AT, so not the MT, it's the AT. So it's a slightly more aggressive pattern than what they normally have. So the 771, that sort of thing. And I've actually been remarkably impressed with these tyres. I was worried because you know, they're slightly more aggressive patterns are sometimes not as good in the wet, but on roundabouts, slow speed, they've been really good. There's been a touch of a little bit of understeery oversteery if you give it a bit too much with the right boot. But I mean, you shouldn't be doing that any way. You should be driving to the conditions. Everyday driving, they've actually been really good. So a little bit of noise, but not as much as I was expecting given the aggressive pattern. So again, marginally more noise than your average all terrain but nothing to complain about. Because the pattern is aggressive, they have actually been really good off-road so we've just come through some fairly serious tracks. And we managed to roll one off the rim. Oh, no. I was coming up here and it sort of slid to the right and I didn't notice it had come off the bead and gave it some welly. Lot's of welly's and- Was it the driver or the car? A combination of both, I guess. So around the front, I have managed to put some glass in one as well. Probably had the most adventurous time with these tyres that I've had yet with any of the tyres that I've tested, but I've given them hell and they've come back for more. So, the Maxxis RAZR AT I would certainly recommend as a great aggressive all terrain tyre for pretty much anyone who's actually going to be getting off the beaten track more regularly than not. So, yeah. Maxxis RAZR AT.
