Good performance from a reasonably priced tyre. These tyres are wearing well and are quiet on the road. Good grip in the dry though some tendency to wheelspin on greasy roads. All in all, a good tyre that would consider next time.

A friend in the tyre industry hooked me up with these when I asked for a deceant set of tyres in the given price range I provided. Coming from the cheap Chinese made tyres that were fitted to the vehicle by the previous owner the improvements were immediatly apprent. The ride felt plusher, the steering lighter and road noise was greatly reduced.
I have run these tyres for some months now and have put them through our Tassie winter now coming into summer and have been able to test them in a variety of road conditions.
The good:Road noise: This is a quiet running tyre, not the quietest out there but for the price range it performs admirably.
Wet weather grip: Fitted to a stock automatic xr6 falcon with a limited slip diff, tyres inflated to 36psi. I have driven these in sevear rain such as the storms that caused the floods earlier this year and the tyres performed well with no signs of aquaplanning. From a standstill on decent bitumen planting the accelerator does not break traction, the previous tyres would see the engine head straight to the limiter in seconds under such a test.
Dry weather grip: These are not a racing tyre but for everyday use and even spirited driving they make the car feel sure footed. They give plenty of warning when close to their limits.
Tyre wear: After 5000 ks slight wear is visible on the outside shoulder of the front tyres. The xr6 has always worn tyres this way but does not aggressivly wear tyres. With regular tyre rotations I expect to see about 40-50,000 from these which is quiet good for their performance.
The bad:The only real downside to this tyre are the soft side walls. The car has more body roll then with the previous tyres and a somewhat doughy feel when making quick adjustments to the direction of the steering. I believe this is what gives these tyres their plush ride. Bumping up the pressure from 36 to 38-40 psi would likely help this at the cost of some ride comfort.
In conclusion I feel the falken ze914 offer very good value for the money, there are many tyres in this price range that don't come close to touching these. A side note not mentioned earlier, a very small decrease in fuel use was noticed. The ba xr6 is thirsty on fuel weighing in at 11.8l per 100kms highway driving. With the ze914 this dropped to 11.7l. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this tyre for medium sized cars used for everyday driving and under moderate sporty driving they perform well. Overall a great allrounder.

They are a really well made tyre. I drive them extremely hard and they can take it. The last set I ran of a different brand i only got 35000km out of them. Looking at how these are wearing I should get 60000km They also come with a 60000km guarantee at select dealers.

These tyres were purchased as a replacement for the original Pirellis as they were bald by 50,000km. I wanted a tyre which gave a better ride and handled as well as the Pirellis did. I was recommended to go up one size for a better ride. I have done a couple of track days on these tyres and found them to handle as well as the Pirellis.

replaced all 4 tyres before a road trip adelaide to gold coast and return, previous Bridgestone tyres were stuffed with only 25000 km on them. Very quiet on twisty mountain roads, good grip on dirt as well, 60000km warranty was the clincher, and reasonably priced. Highlyrecommended.

I have always had good experience with Falken tyres. These are no different.
About halfway through their life at 40K I am impressed with the continued grip and even tread wear.
Dry weather grip is excellent, wet weather is very impressive.
The best (lowest) road noise tyres I have ever had fitted to the vehicle.

came with the car when i bought it, reasonable dry grip, wet weather grip is sub par. When youre looking for a peformance tyre for such a wide wheel it doesnt leave you much choice. for a normal daily car, prefectly fine. for a track/street oriented car, go someting like potenza re003's if they make them in your size or AD08R's or RS4's
