I have a Hilux with canopy for work, drawer in the back, everyday loaded with 850kg of tools, network and electricity wires, long range petrol tank… I’ve tryed ko2s and toyo open country at… both really bad grip for my heavy truck, even on dry conditions abs system working even braking on a traffic light, bad bad…. I’m using grabber atx now and the grip improvement is huge … with like 40% still of life, I’ll definitely buy them again

I purchased the Light Truck version of this tire due to its strong 10 ply construction and opted for the lower 60 profile due to a significant cost saving over the 265/65/18 and I have been extremely happy with this decision and product. The on road tread life has been exceptional.

The best tyres I have ever had on any vehicle. Totally dependable on all surfaces. The tyres are exceptionally quite with no discernable road noise and wear!... the wear has been exceptional with 95K on the set and I would expect at least another year or 5K to 10k legal use before I replace them. Amazing. Cheers Brian p.s. Good until it’s wet then they’re a bit like ice skates when driving on bitumen.

These tires are great on road and off road. They are still nice and soft and grip well. They are wearing evenly. I saved hundreds in comparison to other tires. I guess most people wouldn't know that General is associated with Continental which is a very good brand. I run the tires at 35psi and the pressure is good for bitumen and most gravel roads. I have learned much about tires when researching these tires. Firstly, whenever I took my 4wd to the dealer or the mechanic, they pumped them up way too much, and as a result they wore quickly in the middle. If you look on the pillar of the drivers door, you will find the recommended pressures for your vehicle. The recommended pressure is not just for comfort, it is set by the manufacturer and the tire companies themselves. Secondly, when I took my 4wd to the dealer, they had the presence of mind to set a camber on the wheels, even though the manufacturer recommended zero camber. Well the inside of the tires completely wore in 2,000. My advice to people is don't go on price alone. Get to know what the handbook recommends. And don't accept what your local dealer or mechanic says as gospel. I'd rather take advice from engineers. If I had, I probably would have got another 20,000 out of my last set of tires. Cheers

I have used the General Grabber over a variety of terrains. From Highway use they are quiet and comfortable to rock crawling in the Vic High Country. In this I found them confident inspiring. I have never had a puncture and have recommended them to friends who have also purchased them and they too are very happy.

Previously had a set of "Grabber AT2" which lasted around the same number of km as this current set of AT3s. Performance and noise have always impressed. The AT3s are a good step up from the AT2s which felt very nervous in wet conditions. However, I ran Michelins for a while they were far superior to the Generals in every situation. My biggest concern with my AT3s was a couple of chunks that I took off the sidewalls in not very difficult off road conditions. I'm looking at my options at the moment since the tyres are barely legal any more. The Grabbers are on my short list but I think I'm it's time for a change. All reviews seem to be pointing to Pirelli Scorpion AT + as the tyres to get at the moment. This review was written November 2020.

Great pair of tyres for both on and off road, minimal highway noise. Tread wear is pretty good with no cracking or chunks taken out of tyre. Main purpose was off-road, next set out tyres will be mud terrain over AT. Would buy the same brad just in MT.

although a little pricey these tires are good value for money. Handles well on the road, good on fuel economy and the road noise is surprisingly quite. If your taking these out onto the on the to the byways you'll be quite surprised in what these will get you though if you come to a deep rut or mud that is wetter than normal. No where near a mud plugging tire but will get you out of places you would not expect them to. I would recommend these tires to people as an good all round tire.
