About a year 245/45R19 24000 September 4, 2023
These feel nice when they are new, they do feel like a Michelin Pilot Sport competitor. However a year later the road noise and comfort has dropped, grip is still predictable. Rotating every 10,000kms front to rear, I noticed the fronts start to wash out on corners after 24,000kms. Upon inspection, both the inner and outer tread blocks on the front tyres have visible tearing, like they are going to spit off chunks any day now. Rears are fine. Similar reports online for this tyre. They simply cannot perform for their lifetime on any car that is okay enough in corners, like a Subaru, even though it's a Forester.

I do a lot of kms each year and the VS5's have been fantastic. Very progressive on the edge of grip and very predictable. My only complaint is that they have to be run at higher pressure than recommended as the shoulders wear heavily when run slightly low. I used to run it at 39psi and had both front tyres wear through on the shoulder. Run them now at 44 and no issues at all. Handling, responsiveness, and feel have also all improved. The grip and confidence they give in both dry and wet is outstanding and I would buy them again even if they weren't so much of a good deal.

Would not recommend for this car - tried 2 sets because of cost - both times the rears delaminated (tread separated from sidewall @ 20000 k Also tended to be noisy on any road other than softmix bitumen

Stage 2 Scirocco R Fwd had alot of wheelspin issues and handled horrible with previous tyres in the wet. Got recommend VS5 tyres from local dealer and super happy with the performance the car handles like a go kart in the dry and will hook when launched with traction turned off where i use to spin even with ESP on with the last set of budget tyres. Driving in the wet they are just as good! makes you feel confident to give it the beans even when its bucketing down. Highly recommend good bang for buck!

These are a highly underrated Tyre, smooth, responsive, amazing in the wet and fantastic in the dry. Why spend the extra money on a set of supposed UHPT from other brands when these UHPT are every bit as good on a normal car doing normal driving or spirited driving. They cover all bases.

These Maxxis Victra Sport VS5 SUV are a new version of the VS5 tyre. They stick like glue, never had them let go in the wet, and the more you push them in a corner, the more direct and stable they get! Very quiet, and getting more km than expected as I push them hard and often driving on second rate winding country roads.

Hi all.I buy my Maxxis VS 5 tyres back in may 2019 year. The seller in my local tyre shop recomend me to buy this tyres, because he know i want safety and performance for my Audi.I trust him and buy Maxxis for the first time.My opinion for this tyre is EXCELLENT.Good on wet, excellent on dry with perfect noise parameters.I drive only 18 000 km for the season, and can't tell you how good wearing have VS5,but for me is 3.5/5.Overall rating for me is 4.4/5.And not to last place perfect handling on dry and wet. I already recommend this tyre to my friends and family.Have a good ride and be safe.

Absolutely dangerous in the wet (worse than worn aquajets I inherited on a car aeons ago). Low grip and unpredictable in light water (like they buildup a dam in front of tyres and let go when it gets too much for them). Very low grip in heavy rain (be better on slicks). Ride is quite harsh (maybe the car) - other than that they are fine in the dry with low noise. They are being replace by contis sport 5 suv. They were apparently cheapish (cheaper than contis), but still an expensive mistake.
