I originally purchased these tyres as a play set for when I spent weekends away  in the Victorian High Country. I would swap between an aggressive all terain tyre for daily use and the Nitto Trail Grappler for 4WD adventures.  The Trail Grapplers have a far stiffer sidewall than I was accustomed to with the All Terrain tyres,  requiring much lower pressures when airing down off road to bag out to a similar extent. The lower tyre pressure also reduced the extent of cuts and abrasions.  Off road and on gravel roads these tyres performed  predictably.Over the last couple of years these tyres have remained on the vehicle all of the time. With age  (six years) and as is to be expected, the tyre compound has become quite hard and in combination with tyre wear has lead to a deterioration in agressive braking performance on wet roads.Road noise was initially comparable to the all terain tyres.  With wear there has been an increase in road noise however this has never been intrusive.

Had these on my 2010 JKU CRD for a few years now, it's honestly a fantastic tyre. Yes its a little noisy but for an aggressive mud terrain it is worlds ahead of any other mud terrain I have experienced. There off-road performance is excellent, it almost is too easy going wheeling with these shoes on. Insanely tough construction too, I unfortunately ran over a screw on a drive from Brisbane to Sydney, the carcass is so strong on the tread that it simply bent the screw in a tread block and didn't puncture. Only downside of this tyre is its weight, they are hefty and require a lot of work to balance but with their performance its a small price to pay. Will have a hard time putting anything but Nittos on my Jeep.

Offers surprisingly good wet weather performance on the road for a mud tyre (Jeep traction control is pretty good though), so far the only time stuck in the wet is when I'm down to the axles in the mud, excellent rock crawling at low PSI's. The bi-yearly trip to Beachport SA usually will see me sinking once or twice in very soft sand. Most likely would purchase again, but wouldn't mind trying Nitto's other mud tyre they have on offer.

I've had these tyres for approx 55000kms and they have been great. They would have at least another 15000 in them if I went to the wear marks. They handle extremely well in dry weather and for the first 30000 I found them to be really nice and quiet for an mt. Even now with 55000 they hum a bit, but nothing annoying. Have had them on Fraser Island, gravel, clay 4x4ing and rock and handle all extremely well. The 3 ply sidewall makes them a bit rougher for comfort and they don't bag out as much as some other tires. But have never punctured the sidewall. When new they handle extremely well in the wet. Never slipped at all. Now they are well worn they are a bit more slippery, but still miles safer than my old Cooper at3 Highly recommend

great tyre, has held up well in all situations from beach driving to mud and gravel. tows 2.5 tonne regularly with no adverse wear. and is still provoding great grip when they have maybe 5-10000k left. So should get around 65000k out of them

Great tyre for four wheel driving provides plenty of traction in the dirt and especially in the mud. Also very quite on the road which is surprisingly nice, would recommend these tyres again
