I've had these tires on my 3 tonne Landcruiser 76 series for 2 years and 40,000km. It's my daily driver, my weekend warrior and long distance tourer. Previously I had Toyo AT2s which where okay but not quite durable enough for my liking. I do long range remote solo touring through areas like the Victorian High Country and the Simpson Desert, so for me reliability and durability is my number one priority. These tires have exceeded my expectations. I've been through sand, shale, gravel, sandstone, clay, mud, highways and flood waters. I have never found them lacking in traction and never been bogged. Obviously they have a harsher rider and a bit more road noise compared to AT's but it's not excessive. The Toyo MT is often criticised for having a stiff sidewall which can cause wheels to lose the bead if aired down but I haven't found this to be an issue at all. They flex more than I expected under my 3T vehicle. At 40,000km they are about half worn with no major chipping, despite abusing them on some horrendous roads and not always airing down when I should. I have not noticed a significant deterioration in on or off road performance as they have aged. Comparatively, my Toyo AT2s started to understeer in the wet after about 20,000kms. They are not the cheapest but also not the most expensive and, in my opinion very good value for money. They have a proven track record and are relied on by many hard core 4WDers, not just paid social media muppets like with some other brands. They are the best mud tire for strength, durability, reliability and longevity. I have utmost confidence that my Toyo MTs will get me to my destination and home again. I will not hesitate to

I got over 110 000 out of my last set and could have got another 5 or 10k out of them had i wanted to push it. Super tough and sturdy even at very low pressure with the thick sidewalls. Wouldn't bother with other brands. Surprised these aren't a more popular tyre in Australia.

Very good, nice tyres. Would prefer some bead strength for offroading as have come off once. Altogether quiet and durable tyre with decent grip.

I bought these tyres off a recommendation and I have never looked back, I am a Offroad enthusiast and love taking my car to the more hardcore tracks every weekend they have managed rocks mud rugs and beach work and are amazing on all of the above. Lots of people said to me MTs are no good for beach work but lower your tyre pressures a touch more than you would normally due to the heavy sidewalls and you will fly along the beach. Some of the places I have taken these are Calcup hill, Brunswick junction ,Harvey dam, Margaret river beaches two rocks the Holland track yallingup and they performed amazing. The one thing about this tyre is it’s strong I have forgotten to drop pressures and gone down tracks in highway pressures and they still don’t get punctures you just can’t damage these things 💪 They might cost a bit more than the rest but tyres are a once in every couple of years purchase spend the extra money now and invest in a good set of tyres for your rig!

These tyres have been excellent for my uses. I use my car as a daily driver to the train station each day (25km round trip), general duties as a shopping trolley and then as a ‘weekend warrior’ for 4wd and camping trips. I’m based in the Sutherland Shire; my typical trips are west into the Blue Mountains and beyond. Typical driving conditions will be stretches of sealed highway, fast dirt and gravel back roads, rocky fire trails, creek crossings, mud puddles and clay. For these conditions I have been very happy with the Toyo M/T. The side walls are extremely thick and strong which is the primary reason I chose these tyres as I have observed other tyre failures off-road from staking on tree roots or cutting on sharp rock. For remote I value reliability and durability in my gear that these deliver in spades. They give me the confidence to explore those tracks and locations that you otherwise might avoid if worried about blow outs. For rock, clay, mud and gravel these tyres deliver great traction and are importantly durable, I have noted other tyres suffering tread damage in chipping and cutting from off-road use which is absent from these tyres. They are wearing slowly which has been great, I’ve put 60,000 km’s on them, at this rate I expect to see another 40,000 km’s from them. On-road and wet weather performance has also been great, I’ve never lost traction or wished for more, though I’ll add the caveat to this statement that I drive a Full-Time 4wd so traction on sealed roads is enhanced by the vehicle. The tyres do produce more road noise than a highway terrain tyre though it is not intrusive, it sounds like a hum in the background (louder on concrete, softer on tar) though sound proofing on my 4wd is pretty good. It is worth it for me for the superior off-road qualities the tyre delivers due to the tracks and technical off-road driving I typically explore. Similarly the comfort on these tyres on-road is not quiet as good as factory Passenger construction tyres owing to the tougher and more durable Light Truck construction of the tyres. Off-road the comfort is superior to Passenger and Highway tyres as there is a larger amount of rubber absorbing pot holes, corrugations, rocks and other irregularities; again the compromise is worth it for my uses. Lastly in terms of looks, I like how these tyres look. They are a bit more aggressive than the more popular All-Terrain tyres that are common on most 4wd’s. I am a member of a 4wd club and a number of online 4wd forums as well as being an active member of the 4wd community and regularly recommend this tyre to those looking for a durable and tough tyre that will perform in all conditions. There’s a reason you see these tyres underneath Dakar competition vehicles or Ken Blocks F-150 Raptor (drool). When it comes time to replace them I’ll buy the same, it’s hard to justify buying anything else when I know how well this tyre works; as they say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Cheers, Sean.

had these tyres for well over 60000kms and still got enough tread for probably another 20000 if I had to. these tyres have been absolutely unbelievable taking me all over the country from cape york to Fraser island during a lap of oz last year. nothing bad to say about them.
