Yokohama ADVAN Sport V107 Reviews

I have been spoilt with the experience of driving a luxury performance car on silent tyres it came with from new, which were the Continental SportsContact 6 - for general road use it is fabulous, and on the highway it is remarkably quiet. The Yokohama Sport tyre is unfortunately much rougher on the highway, with a lot of tyre noise transferring into the cabin, even with all the car's sound deadening features, and you can feel all the bumps and imperfections that was not experienced with the Conti SC6.

I opted for the v107’s after having two sets of P zero corsa’s, that while great for track work, and days above 30 degrees make a horrible road car tyre. The v107 in my mind makes for a more dynamic tyre than a Michelin PS4S, the v107 had a firmer side wall than the French units and has better feedback and feel through the wheel, this compares well to the factory fit corsa’a on my car. If you are used to Michelins this will feel firm, you will notice bumps a little bit more. However, confidence in the tyre especially mid corner is high. They’re fine for day to day, they aren’t any louder than a corsa, I can’t compare to a ps4s on the same car, but they would be similar. In the wet they are fantastic, full confidence, unlike a corsa. I’m yet to track these, but from 5 degrees and in the wet till 45 in humidity they’re stellar. I can’t comment on track use. But for road car use for enthusiasts I’d buy these again over a ps4s, and I do love those French things.
