Falken Logo

The WILDPEAK A/T is engineered for adventure, any time and in any weather. The tyre combines aggressive

Key Features

  • HEAT DIFFUSER TECHNOLOGY - In the lower sidewall dissipates heat to protect the internal tyre components. Keeping this critical area of the tyre cool ensures vehicle stability even when towing or carrying heavy loads.
  • 3D CANYON SIPE TECHNOLOGY - Interlocks the shoulders to resist wear from high torque as well as providing additional handling stability.
  • RUGGED AND RIGID TREAD BLOCKS - Feature support ramps and step?down features that provide tread pattern rigidity in the contact patch, enhancing vehicle stability and handling while also preventing stones from becoming trapped in the grooves.
  • AGGRESSIVE UPPER SIDEWALL - Along with offset shoulder blocks protect the tyre from sharp rocks and provide additional off-road traction at low tyre pressures or in off-camber situations.

Thoroughly recommend these to anyone that likes the look and feel of an all terrain yet does mostly on-road driving. They're a super safe tyre, Wet road traction is simply unbelievable. They last forever.  Off road they are very good on hardpack dirt roads, not amazing on loose surfaces including mud.  I've had BFG KO2's and Maxxis Razrs on the same car. Comparison; BFGs, no where near the on road performance of the Falkens. Off road is a little better than Falkens. Similar everywhere else Razr's, not quite as good on road as the Falkens, particularly wet roads. Better than Falkens off road by a good bit, similar everywhere else

I fitted these tyres based on the recommendation from my mechanic. A few years later and I am happy I made the choice. The tyres are wearing very well, over 80,000km so far and still look like they have plenty of life left in them. On the road they are acceptable, a little louder than a Highway Terrain tyre but that is to be expected with an all-terrain tyre. They are a lot quieter than many other all-terrains I have used in the past.  In the dry, I cannot notice any difference in performance to highway tyres. My tyres are taller than factory so there is a little more give but again this is what I expected given their size. In the wet, the tyres are good, not as good as factory highway tyres but again that is expected given they are all-terrains. The amount of grip is reasonable and provided you are not aggressive with the turning or acceleration, they are perfectly fine.  Off road I have been happy, they are pretty resistant to tears and terrain and there is no where I got stuck that a more aggressive tyre would have helped. I use the car for long distance touring and driving with mild off road use, so keep that in mind when thinking for your off road use. On sand they are amazing, rock and mud have been reasonable as well.  Overall I would recommend these tyres if you are looking for a good touring tyre, something with good road manners, reasonable off road performance and good longevity.

Great tyre new, excellent road traction in wet or dry condition, good cornering grip with a low amount of side wall deflection. They can hold there own offroad in dry conditions for a close block design and when new not disappointing in slightly wet conditions. Once worn to 50% or more they perform like a road tyre making even wet grass challenge. Currently have BFG K02, with 65% wear, they have far better traction in offroad wet conditions, although higher road noise. The AT3W is very quiet even nearing the end of there life.  Would recommend again for certain requirements.

I bought these tyres after raving wet pavement reviews from others. I tow a 2.5t work trailer in a Hilux. I've been disappointed with rear wheel traction- often needing to put the Hilux into 4wd to pull up hills with the trailer on, and also wet braking. I'm currently getting them replaced with AT4W so we will see how that goes. I would also say that these tyres can be difficult to keep balanced.

2020 Isuzu D Max running Falken AT3’s have racked up @150000km on this set and expect about another 10000km before we swap this set out. Running Falken AT3’s on 2x Mitsubishi Tritons and these are wearing very well also -  anticipating 130000km plus from these as well. Note - we keep a very close eye on tyre pressures and rotate every 10000km. Highly recommend the Falken AT3’s, I have recently switched another Isuzu D Max (2014) over to the AT4’s and rate these better than AT3’s just not as confident we will see the same mileage out of these?

I've noticed they are quieter on sealed roads than BFG. They have a more comfortable ride as well. The Ranger is a bit light in the rear end so it's easy to spin the rear wheels on wet surfaces especially doing hill starts. These tyres perform better than the previous 2 brands I've tried, but still spin on occasions.

So much better in the wet. No wheel spin and I can go around roundabouts in the wet knowing that the car won't slide from the backend. There tyres are quiet, look great and perform well in all conditions that I drive in. The OE tyres that came with the new car were not up to the job and I wasn't confident driving around corners in the wet.

Been running the Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my Ranger and they’ve been solid. Quiet enough on road for a daily and feel good in the wet. Taken them on gravel, a bit of mud and the beach and they’ve had no dramas. Grip’s been good and no punctures so far. Good all round tyre if you want something tough but still comfortable to drive every day. I’d run them again.

These are a great all rounder tyre.  This is my third set on three different 4wds.  Great off road and happy with them in the wet.  I've done some pretty heavy mud terrain and they performed better than I expected.
