Falken WILDPEAK AT3W Reviews
The WILDPEAK A/T is engineered for adventure, any time and in any weather. The tyre combines aggressive
Key Features
- HEAT DIFFUSER TECHNOLOGY - In the lower sidewall dissipates heat to protect the internal tyre components. Keeping this critical area of the tyre cool ensures vehicle stability even when towing or carrying heavy loads.
- 3D CANYON SIPE TECHNOLOGY - Interlocks the shoulders to resist wear from high torque as well as providing additional handling stability.
- RUGGED AND RIGID TREAD BLOCKS - Feature support ramps and step?down features that provide tread pattern rigidity in the contact patch, enhancing vehicle stability and handling while also preventing stones from becoming trapped in the grooves.
- AGGRESSIVE UPPER SIDEWALL - Along with offset shoulder blocks protect the tyre from sharp rocks and provide additional off-road traction at low tyre pressures or in off-camber situations.

After 80,000km I'm just starting to notice a little bit of slipping on take off and tight corners at slow speed - especially in the wet. I'm driving a little more cautiously now, but super impressed with them until now. Value for money I will likely replace them before 90,000km with the same again. Awesome offroad performance, but like most AT's will struggle in deep Victorian mud a little. Significantly better overall than the Toyo AT's I had before these.

#disclaimer, I am sponsored by falken australia # but my review is my own personal experience, these replaced at20's on the prado to improve offroading, much more grip and confidence with the AT3W compared the oem tyres . massively noticed the difference first time we hit gravel, only marginally less performance on dry blacktop compared to OEM tyre but in the wet I actually feel this tyre feels more planted on wet blacktop and safer, we have the LT version of this tyre

I went with these on the tyre shop recommendation as I was after the Dueler 697's that I had been running. I did the deal, and wow... These things are way better than the 697's and came in way cheaper! They are great in the wet, good on gravel, brake really well. Do grab the odd stone though. Quiet, comfortable and grippy in the dry. I'm yet to go off into the tracks with them though. Looking at them, they will be as fine as any AT can be. They are not LT but XL spec. I'm happy enough with that. And they look the part!!! :-) I would recommend looking at these if you are after new boots.

We purchased 10 of these for two Jeep Grand Cherokees plus spares. Within 60 days they had ALL gone laterally out of round (Wabble X 1/2 inch) and out of balance. We replaced the wheels on one jeep but the problems still existed. Going to Toyos and try to sell these. I cannot recommend....

I bought these tyres after hearing several recommendations as a good rounder AT tyre when I picked up my Touareg in Perth before driving the scenic route back to Adelaide. On 20s, I knew these tyres would be great on road but would be working hard to give off road performance. On the road they're grippy and relatively quiet at speed with more noticeable roar at lower speeds. They're confidence inspiring in gravel at speed, dissipate water well and can deal with moderate levels of mud. These are a great AT tyre but I think they're more suited to a body on frame vehicle rather than a unibody SUV because of the road noise. Having driven Ford Rangers with this tyre, I highly recommend them in that application. Vehicles like the Touareg are better off with a lighter duty AT tyre.

So amazed with these tyres. They are hell better in terms of braking and noise vs the previous version of Falken Wildpeaks. Compared to the Yokohama G015 Geolanders, they are alot quieter. Offroad performance int he sand has been find and I have not had any punctures as yet. Highly recommend these if you are after an AT tyre.

I put these tyres on a few months back. It’s been a back and forth to the tyre shop rotating and re balancing, replacing rims to stop shudder at rear at around 90-100km. Finally working out the tyres had a defect in rear left. This is where my gripe starts. Customer service from Falkland is pathetic. I don’t care how great the reviews are on the tyre I will never touch another Falken Tyre purely on their customer service. Your product is only as good as your after sales service and they have a lot to learn.

I put 80,000km on the Falken Wildpeaks in about 2.5 years and they were great. Dry weather they stuck and held the road great. Wet weather I don't think they ever came loose. Offroad and gravel was great too but obviously not amazing in mud. The only problem I could find is they don't come in LT in my tyre size, and there seems to be less tread depth on the outside lugs compared to the inside, which is noticeable even on a new tyre. I ran about 36-38psi cold most of the time, at the end of their life the tread was gone on the outside, but plenty left on the inside. Replaced with Maxxis Razr AT811 to try something different and the Maxxis aren't as good, mainly with road holding, the Maxxis seem to move and squirm under the car which the Falkens didn't.

Had the wildpeaks for 20,000km, really good performance onroad and offroad. Only fault is they are getting slightly noisy. Dry: Can't fault them on the road. Wet: Very good in the wet, have full confidence around corners and have never had an issue. Noise: Getting a little bit noisy now after a year - but nowhere near as noisy as the Duelers were previously. Offroad: Haven't let me down yet. Aggressive tread has been great on bush tracks, but we have not been into a whole lot of mud yet so can't comment on that. Have not damaged them yet. Wear: Only just starting to wear slightly after 20,000km. Very impressed and I expect they'll last another 40,000. Value: Pretty great value for what they are, and about 20% cheaper than the KO2s
