Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 SUV (K117A) Reviews

Was recommended these tyres by the tyre dealer as they are meant to be good in the wet. Tyres felt no different to the old tyres I took off the car. Tyres have lasted me just on 12 months and have done 18,500kms and all 4 had to be replaced. Very unhappy with the life of the product. Tyre dealer said they lasted less than usual but that happens. I now have a new tyre dealer.

The are absolute garbage! For the price (expensive) they lasted less than 7 months and 8000km, I would not ever recommend them, to anyone.

Love these tires. in the last 12 months they've done 45,000km and only just due for replacement. I mostly do highway and city/town driving, however have done a number of longer 10hr trips to North West Victoria, across the Hay Plain, where these tires performed perfectly. Also taken my Kodiaq onto Stockton and Jimmy's beaches (13psi worked perfectly) with no issues (except for the poor exit angle on the skodas butt! :( ), and they also never skipped a beat on the trails in Newnes Plateau. Have also driven with these tires in the snow, and again kept traction perfectly. This may have something to do with my Skodas stability control... Cornering, braking and accelerating in wet and dry were predictable and fuss free.

These have been used in a typical SUV format of 90% on road and 10% off. For the 10 times we have gone off road they have been good. Never gone through really deep mud but wet & slippery tracks are not an issue. Very quiet on road and you just need to keep rotating them every 10k or you will wear out the fronts well before the backs.

These tyres have not missed a beat. On the vehicle since new with 41,000klms, they are now close to replacement. Excelllent grip wet and dry. Took the vehicle out to lake mungo, again I cannot fault these tyres, though I have not seen a replacement price, I would definitely buy these again. 

  The problem is that I picked up a screw in the left front tyre, I took the car to the local dealer of a national company and was told as the screw was in the side wall I would need a new tyre  and as the rest of the tyres were in new condition I would only need 1 tyre. The tyre dealer then explained to me that after speaking to Hankook that the tyre fitted to my vehicle wont be available for several months as they are only making enough of that tyre to supply new vehicles. So my only safe option is to fit 2 new tyres from another maker at considerable cost to me.I contacted Hankook and after promising to source a tyre they came back with same result as the tyre dealer, no spare tyres in Australia and no offer of compensation for the extra tyre. The tyre might be ok the company Hankook certainly is not.

Good tyres so far, very low noise and good dry grip, are the best points so far.

Great tyres but pricey . Loved them Gould not get better value for the milleage. Felt safe on them. At the end of the day th har is what's I'll important. Safety first.

I have found these could be better in wet weather driving

I just want a tyre that is long wearing and tough and these have delivered.
