I bought these Primacy 4s because the Primacy 3s I had on the car (Mitsi Diamante VR Sport 3.5l V6 front-drive) had finally worn out at 95,000km. The 4s were better than the 3s

My ratings are based off my previous tyres from Bridgestone Ecopia's. Compared to the old tyres, these are a huge improvement. Only slight downsight which can't be a negative at all is the threadwear for the Primacy 4's are at 340 vs 400 for the Ecopias. But that trade off, is much better grip in dry and wet [percentage wise at least 35-45% more]. Comfort wise, even though Primacy were at 55's and Ecopia's at 60, you'd think that the Ecopia's are more comfortable, but sadly no. Its really comfortable and quiet. I'd say in my own terms 35% quieter and 50% comfier. In terms of fuel consumption, lowest i've recorded on a Camry which does highway runs daily is 6.7l / 100kms with the Ecopia's. For the Primacy its higher at 7.1l / 100kms. Based off what my car counter reads. All in all, very well worth the amount paid since i got them during a promo where you buy 4 tyres and get a hundred off the total.

The factory fitted tyres on the VF Calais are simply awful in most respects, especially their wet performance. Fitting a set of Michelin Primacy 4s has transformed the car and made it feel how it should. They have excellent ride quality, low noise, and extremely impressive wet performance. Their wear rate is also great so far. Steering response is a little slower than some sportier tyres, but the Calais is a touring car so these Primacy 4s suit its personality perfectly

Excellent tyre that is quite for a performance tyre. I have them on a heavy Falcon XR8 and the grip is fantastic in both wet and dry.

Given I've only completed about 500 kms, some ratings are too early to make a true assessment.
I previously had 2 sets of Pilot Sport 3s and there is significant difference in road holding characteristics. The PS's are much more direct and firm. Primacy's are definitely quieter and more comfortable but I find them a bit vague and soft on steering control.
If you are coming off Pilot Sports and you like direct steering control and firmness, then suggest you may want to reconsider if you are looking to change to Primacy 4s.

These replaced the terrible factory Bridgestone Turanza T001s and are better in every single respect. Quieter, more comfortable, better tread wear and most importantly outstanding wet traction and grip. The factory tyres were downright dangerous in the wet and had odd steering feel, but these fix all of that and make the car feel far more exotic than it is.
