Cooper Logo
The SRX with advanced technology and engineering, the SRX delivers long life tread, maximum ride comfort and improved efficiency, available in a wide range of fitments.

Key Features

  • Wear Square Visual Indicators change as your tyres wear, making it easy to determine the tread life remaining, giving you confidence and safety you can see.
  • 3D Micro-Gauge Sipes allow the tread blocks to interlock for maximum stability, increased traction, handling and safety.
  • Stabiledge Technology, Cooper’s unique rubber bumpers, are added to the gaps between tread blocks to keep them open and stable for maximum high ride stability, traction and precise handling.
  • R-Tech Engineering, for high ride comfort, combines an extended and stiff bead filler in the lower sidewall with a Variable Density Nylon Overlay over the belts. This delivers crisp handling while maintaining passenger comfort. R-Tech gives you a safer, softer and smoother ride.
  • Advanced Silica Compound, formulated with the optimum content of chemically-coupled silica. This provides excellent wet traction and highway handling while lowering rolling resistance, for more grip and better fuel efficiency.

The Cooper SRX is an exceptional performer on road and on sand. Like many modern 4x4 wagons and utes, the majority of our driving is often around town and on the highway and it is in this area where the SRX is perhaps without equal. Exceptional grip in the wet installs confidence that the handling of the vehicle is being given its best odds and when called upon, it will pull up in time. When given the opportunity to head off the sealed road, this tyre will take to sand and light unsealed roads with aplomb. However the tread pattern struggles with dispersing mud when the going gets tougher and a weak sidewall leaves them exposed to rocky terrain. A mild section of rocky track at Gordon Country left its mark with a small tear in the front right sidewall of our vehicle - unexpected and disappointing given the light degree of difficulty the track presented. Sadly, this is what will limit your vehicle when heading into more remote terrain and why I will be moving on to a more suitable tyre for my driving lifestyle. However, it is important to remember that these are a 90/10 highway/off road tyre - not rated for heavy off road use, and it is most comfortable as a touring tyre. Airing down for sand is no problem and no discernible issues were presented in way of slippage. In fact we found them quite at home on both soft sand and firm on a recent trip to Evans Head. In this regards, it presents itself a worthy option for the family who are primarily on the road but want to head up the beach for a measured adventure within their limits. The weight, tread pattern and construction combines to a good wearing tyre with low noise and great ride quality. A full set will put a dent in the wallet, but it is justified by the exceptional performance and longevity that this tyre should be known for. When looking for a tyre that needs to shine in a road driving context, it is worth putting the Cooper SRX on the shortlist.

These tyres i was told , are good for 80000 but i think 65000 will see them finished. I have had no problems with them exept they develope a bit of road noise when about half worn.

I currently have a set of Cooper Discover srx tyres ,but I am not impressed with the fact that after only 10,000 kms I got a nail in the side wall of my tyre which made it non repairable.not covered by warranty.I had to borrow money to pay for a brand new one.this should be included In the warranty.other than than that I love my tyres, they handle so good on the highway

I've just replaced the factory tyres which had a decent run...45k km before hitting 1.5 mm from wear markers but they got a bit twitchy in the wet 5k  km ago...so new tyres it is. After heaps of searching (and review reading...thanks everyone) I decided on the  Coopers. Although, they have only been on 100 km now, they feel really good in the dry and frosty C mornings (haven't had decent wet yet), better than the Original Equipment tyres did. They are very quiet, better than I expected for a more aggressive tread than the OEM even at 100km/hr. I can't wait to take them to the snow next month and test them there! The 80k km wear promise is almost to good to be believable , time will show   as long as I maintain the tyre pressures  and regular10 - 15k km wheel alignments. There was one small problem at fitment, the car wandered to the left with steering wheel  going left off centre after 4 tyre replacement and wheel alignment. (Felt like it was pushing from the Right hand  rear) Took it back to the shop and put it on the rack again. Yes, the rear was a little bit out, too much neative toe on RHR but afterwards there was still a little bit of wander. We rotated tyres L to R and problem solved and put it down to radial pull. Probably due to improper stacking storage at factory or holding facilities (probably the later). Anyways, great tyre, great reputation and very reasonable price (even if it only makes it to 3/4 of the promised mileage).  l will let you know 30 - 40k km in!

Tyres were guaranted for 80000km. They would not reach that milage. 3 of the 5 tyres became out of round and when I went to a retailer recommended by Cooper they weren't interested due to the age of the tyre. I only bought the tyres 51/2yrs ago which means that I was sold old tyres. Very disappointed with the reply from Cooper Australia. Would not recommend Cooper tyres.

Great tyre with a good pro-rata warranty up to 80,000 km. What more to ask for.
