Kumho Tyres ROAD VENTURE SAT KL61 Reviews

With a less aggressive tread pattern than many A/T tyres, they provide excellent grip on sealed roads - both wet and dry - while being relatively quiet. The biggest surprise was their performance in sand (both beach and desert), on dirt and gravel, and over rocks - no issues whatsoever. They looked a bit worse for wear after three weeks off-road, but some highway running seemed to smooth out the tread and they continue to wear very well. Not great in mud (but what A/T tyre is!). While some may be wary of the 2-ply sidewall, I have had no issues and the better ride compared with 3-ply will be an endless debate. For me, a great tyre during the week that is more than capable for wherever the weekend may lead.

Kumho have been unexpectedly excellent quality and value for money. I would absolutely have Kumho as my next set of tyres.

Where on car when I bought it, been good for on and off road

I've had the Kumho KL61 tyres on my Kluger for about 18 months now and done approximately 29 000kms on them. My everyday driving is around the city suburbs, in residential areas and plenty of highway driving. On weekends we occasionally hook up our campervan and head off. We mostly travel on sealed roads or well maintained gravel roads. On the whole we are happy with the performance of these tyres.  Road noise is minimal, travel is comfortable and wear seems to be good. Most importantly they handle well in wet and dry driving conditions. They occasionally 'slip' when there has been a fresh rain after a dry period when I am taking off at lights or an intersection. I am still trying to figure out if this is due to the tyres or my driving style (probably my driving) luckily the traction control in my car kicks in and it is never really an issue. I do find they stop well in a hurry. For example with city driving there can be many times you need to quickly apply the brakes to avoid an accident, namely when drivers up ahead don't know how to merge. The Kumho KL61 tyres have never let me down in these situations.All round I feel they provide a safe, comfortable journey and consider them to be money well spent. I would easily recommend them to friends, family and in this case, strangers!

Run really well in all conditions. No issues at all.

They have been superb in all terrains and conditions, from step muddy ruts, soft beach sand, rocks and shale, as well as on wet and dry roads. The only place I couldn't try them was in snow and ice.I looked at a lot of tyres before buying these, and I have been really satisfied with my choice. I would definately buy these again, and am happy to recommend them to anyone for any driving condition.Grip is great, they don't harbour small rocks in the tread, and I couldn't hear noise from them, although the Suzuki is loud anyway.I bought these from Justin at iTyres, and be gave me a great deal. We're in the market for another 4x4 and whatever I get will be getting a set of these Kumho's put straight on.

These tyres I recommend to anyone who does offroad driving in any form. We have used them on the beach, in deep sand, mud, rocky paths, dirt roads etc and felt very safe with them.  The extra diameter is not standard on the Suzuki but is still legal and the gear rations were still great on any terrain. We would definitely get them again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an all terrain or off road tyre.
