Honestly, I wasn't ready to spend this much on tyres, but after being convinced by a friend, I bit the bullet and haven't looked back. Driving a Territory is about comfort in the first place, and I didn't realise how much a tyre can increase that experience. Do yourself a favour, and buy them.

I bought a new full size Range Rover in 2008. This was my 5th RR over 25 yrs, the last 3 all fitted with Pirelli Scorpions. The new one came factory delivered with Continental Cross Contact UHPs. Those tyres provided excellent manners except by about 10klms the shoulders were peeling off in chunks. Despite several trips to the dealer and alignments, etc. this continued. "It's a heavy car", they said! Well by 17ks the Contis were stuffed and I had Scorpions fitted. I was immediately very, very happy. Way better road manners in all conditions. I don't hoon but I do get moving on roads of all surfaces incl gravel. These tyres really showed how good the RR is, which was masked to some extent by the Contis. As the Scorpions are now getting down, I'm very interested to read reviews who rate other tyres higher 'cause I'll take some convincing there's better quality and performance out there for grip, braking, ride and wear. At the end of the day, if you save a hundred bucks on each tyre and end up in a smash you've saved absolutely nothing. One final comment... none of these big low profile tyres are any good on slippery slopes. No amount of technology is going to save you when you really need nobbly lugged rubber and good old fashioned low range and know how to use it.

Excellent tyre, 90% of time spent travelling on sealed country roads, 8% on dirt & 2% highway. Have never lost grip in either wet or dry conditions. Minimal road noise & absorb bumps extremely well. Tread is wearing evenly, I would expect between 60 - 80K from this set of Pirelli's. They are a little more expensive than some other brands but well worth the cost for family safety. Would highly recommend this tyre.
