At first when fitted these tyres, they seemed great. Quiet and handled well in the wet. However after 2 1/2yrs and down to about 50% tread, they are dangerous in the wet. Basic slow speed roundabouts, hillstarts, I have never experienced a tyre deteriorate like this. The wet weather traction has disappeared, I have checked pressures and even slightly dropped it for more grip but unfortunately, they are now at the end of their life. Will never again fit these to a vehicle.

I've had them on the car since new and have done 10,000km on them and recently returned from a trip to the Murchison where some of the roads were wet and mush and others dry as a bone. They exceeded my expectations in the in muddy conditions and the tyre voids did not fill up. On the dry gravel, stoney roads they were very grippy and held the car in the corners better than expected.Moving into some rocky climbing and letting pressure out of them allowed the rock crawling to be done easily with minimal slippage. I expected to see chunks, cuts and tears but the tyres held up and have next to no noticeable damage.

These were fitted to the car when I purchased it and after being a Cooper Fan for many years, I have been very happy with performance of these tyres. While they off road in the softer stuff they pick up some mud but they clear themselves very quickly. On the road there is minimal noise and the ride is lovely. Wet they are also performing better than I expected and they clear the water from the road and the tyre quickly allowing hard braking in the wet to be strong. In the road and wet mud they held up well at at no point did I think the tyres wouldn't get me to where I needed to be!

Great tyre, quiet and opposed to critics they don't chip easily out wear out fast. Wont disappoint. I have driven 65,000 km, and probably 10k to go, which included only a short but intense off road trip to western QLD channel country. Gravel, dust, gibber, corrugations (30psi). No tread block chips, cracks, punctures.  Silky quiet on Highway but just now started a little whine. But  come on - at 65,000!I haven't tried this tyre in mud or sand. But each tyre brand will excel at something and not everything. For example Toyo are tough as nails but not as good as Yoko in wet. Noise. Tyre slap. Whine.  It is important to know what happens when your tire starts to wear. I moved from Bridgestone Duelers to Yoko g015 based on the horrible noise at half life and the Yoko  many reviews of wet grip, noise and off roads capable. Glad I did move. Bridgestone became incredibly noisy after half tread as the blocks 'cup' or even just wear flat which means the tread blocks start to slap the road during rotation - mostly a problem on tar roads. Some tyres start to delaminate the ply belts and the rotational pressure can cause a grinding noise. Change your tyres before repairing your bearings! Ha! The Yoko has worn mostly on the outside edge of the front (common anyway) causing slight understeer issues, but that may also be the round-abouts in Qld and the car itself or the driver ! There's tyres are heading to the Warrumbungles and if ok may get me to Cape York before a refresh !! I like the buy 4 pay for 3 deals so if the big dealers offer that on Yoko I would go again - but they are not right now.$

These tyres are good on dirt and snow- easily the best tyres for this that I have had on a Suby.  This was prioritised over bitumen driving, which nonetheless was actually reasonably good, once I got used to the different feel, and more grippy than the previous Yokohama mixed use tyres I had (g051). I suggest a different tyre for mainly bitumen driving, but for my purposes, the g015s were good.

No hesitation in recommending the Geolanders. Very good grip on sealed roads - it feels like the car would tip before the tyres would lose grip.  Very good grip on gravel and dirt roads - my car doesn't slide around with these tyres like the way it did with standard road tyres.  Imperceptible road noise, good wear characteristics so far.  Will definitely by again.

Overall a great tyre. They are an AT tyre but road biased with a fairly tame looking tread pattern. Still very capable off road and in the sand. Would buy again.
