First - My Ranger is a PX1, XLS, has the 18 in Wildtrack rims, so fitted with Hankook Dynapro HP2 265/60 R18. Tyres recommended/fitted by my favorite supplier. I run them at 45 psi, all round, all load conditions, so the ride is firm. Previous Bridgestone's very noise, harsh ride, heavy steering and poor cornering. I ran them at F 40 psi & R 38 psi unladen/45 psi laden. Hankook's are a way way quieter, far superior road holding, even the steering feels lighter and more precise, fuel consumption may have improved slightly - dont know about wear/longevity at this stage.

Compared with the OE Bridgestones the Hankooks ride much better, grip much better wet or dry, make the speedo dead accurate and cost about half as much. I went up to the 265/70 size which is acceptable on the 7 inch rim. With the taller sidewall the steering is not quite a sharp but hey it's a ute so not a precision instrument. Fuel consumption appears worse but you have to factor in a 5% difference in kilometres. I would definitely recommend them.

not a  good tyre at all, were not my choice as they are OEM fitment.  It's very easy to break traction when accelerating with the traffic flow, with the vehicle's traction control kicking in regularly, so it's very difficult to exploit the vehicle's full abilities. Because of the loss of grip when accelerating, it is making me aware how  bad these tyres are, and I have been driving very conservatively  because loss of grip under acceleration, may also mean loss of grip under retardation  and manoeuvring.  I have been researching other brands already even though the original tyres are not even quarter worn yet.

Hankook HPs are just ok, not bad and not excellent. Haven’t lasted or worn as well as Kumhos I had previously.

They have worn out quicker than any other tyre and one blew out early on from a gravel road. They grip well in the wet. Probably good for lots of highway driving not for me.
