Wanted a LT tyre with a speed rating matching the passenger tyres that came as original equipment. Found these tyres to be quiet on the highway and comfortable for daily driving. Found these tyres great for sand tracks and beach work. They have been to the national park at Shark bay twice and also seen South West coastal sand tracks. They haven’t seen much mud or clay so can’t comment on how they cope in those conditions.Happy with the purchase and would buy again. This review is for the LT version of this tread.

Great tyre for on and off the road, especially in the snow.

Lots of s/wheel vibration at highway speeds, despite several balance and alignment checks. Running at 35psi has helped on bitumen, definitely not 40psi as recommended by tyre shop . Ok off road.

These tyres have been a welcome surprise. I found tyre forums unreliable because everyone seems to think they’re running the best tyres. It took a lot of research and chatting to owners of the same tyre before I invested in the Geolanders and I’m glad I did. After I moved from the remote north-west, my off-roading frequency reduced and noise from the Mickey Thompson’s increased dramatically as they got closer to the end of their life. So much so, the noise became a talking point when friends or family got in the car. A quiet tyre was an absolute must for my next purchase. I have also seen my fair share of accidents at work, some caused by people doing silly things and others where unexpected poor traction in both wet and dry conditions was evident. It was important that my new tyres were quiet but more importantly safe in any weather condition. The Geolanders have been incredible and tick all those boxes. Minimal aqua planing in heavy rain conditions on the highway which I was most thankful for. And to have them wear so evenly and at the rate they are is just incredible. Of course I check my pressures regularly. I have well and truly got my money’s worth out of the Geolanders and have felt safe transporting my small family around, particularly in the wet. I’ll be looking at another tyre from Yokohama for our run around car when that time comes based on my Geolanders performance. These tyres are a safe bet in my opinion. By all means, read the forums, but rarely do people own up to making bad purchases. For what it’s worth, I know you won’t regret getting these tyres. You won’t be disappointed.

Mostly drive on Highway, around Town and on Sand Tracks and Dunes 4-5 times per week. These tyres perform well on all surfaces and with tyre pressures dropped to 20psi they excell on the Sand Tracks and Dunes. With correct pressures for terrain they are an excellent tyre. I am about to replace the tyres with another set of Yokahama Geolanders A/T GO15, I am a happy camper!

Front left tyre blew out and total tread loss at highway speed 110kph. This was a life threatening event. The tyre was brand new, just 3000km I have lost faith in the brand and will be replacing the Yokohama's on my Benz and Subaru. Suspect manufacturing QA failure. Lucky to be alive, as rollover was a definite possibility. Yokohama did not honour Hazard Protection Guarantee and refused to forward my pictures to manufacturing plant. Poor form Yokohama. Refer pics. By chance I took pic of the tyre 30 minutes before delamination. Zipper separation apparent at bottom of tyre.

Had Grand Treks but wanted something more aggressive for outback touring. Have a major hearing problem so noise is a big issue. These are more aggressive tread but noise level very low. Only done 5000 so far thru the outback but very impressed so far. No wet weather experience yet.

Got the LT. Super grip at highway speeds in the rain for an AT. Inspire confidence! Tried very hard to get the car sideways around a big off camber roundabout in the rain at around 60 kph at WOT & got just a bit of slip!!! Bit of tyre whirring on smooth bitumen at 60-80 kph, but the frequency it's at is not bothersome to me at all & I have mild tinnitus in one ear. Buy 3 get one free + the warranty = unbelievable value! Will be doing some off road & beach work over the coming months so will update then. Pretty comfortable too, running 40psi in the front & it aint harsh at all. Cheers, Jimmy

Definitely a road-orientated A/T tread pattern, but dropped to 20psi these tyres are quite capable off-road. Will clog up quickly in mud so if that is a likely destination then there are not the tyres to get. Super quiet on road - hard to fault for what they are!
