I searched and searched for a tyre, wanting more biased towards gravel, sand and bitumen. I wanted low noise. I wanted strong and dependable. Everything led to the Pirelli Scorpion Atr. Initially I was a bit worried about the tread pattern as it looked quite on road, but after trips into the never never, miles of beaches, dines and days of gravel roads, I never once felt worried. Even some occasional deep winter mud was ok fun. Sadly we got teeboned on holiday and it write off our car (have since purchased another the same, but with road tryes). It had a brand new pair on it, gone to insurance. I'm currently looking again, torn between these and the new Pirelli Scorpion Plus. Thinking I'll get more rims and have both lol. (With if your reading this..... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE) I've had lots of others, Yokohama, BF (yuck), Bridgestones, Nitto, Hankook etc, nothing has left me more pleased. Easily the best tyre for this combo.

These were factory fit tyres but I have had 2 previous sets, on a jeep wrangler and a Mitsubishi Triton tray back as a long distance courier vehicle and the lasted 100,000 kms plus on both vehicles. The current tyres on my Amarok won't last that long as we are towing a caravan around Australia but their covering all types of surfaces with ease and safety in all conditions.

These tyres were on the vehicle when I purchased it 2nd hand. They are very quiet, stable and perform well in all (on-road) conditions. Off-road they can be a bit slippy, and the lack of sidewall protection made me a bit nervous driving through sharp rocky areas. However this nervousness never was justified as the only puncture I got was from a nail on-road. Would buy again, but will be upgrading to the latest design (AT+) when I need to. Surprised at the long service life I have got out of these, I say I have put on 60K, but that does not include the previous owner. The logbook suggests they have done a total of 100K plus. For 96% city driving that is amazing. Had a hard time deciding on replacing these with the same again (I am that happy with them), or getting the K02's. However after seeing the AT+'s have more sidewall protection I will be testing those out next time. Considering the cost was 3/4 that of BFG's, midrange compared to the market. Value for money is on point. Lasted twice as long as previous Bridgestone ATR's.

I always replace my tyres with these ones every time. I’m on my 3rd set since 2006, just changed in January. I get about 4 years out of one set and the price is still same as in 2006, so great value for money. It does off-road great with its grip. Road noise is nothing with this Tyre. We live in the country so road noise is important along with off road control. I recommend this Tyre to all as like I said I keep buying it everytime I need new tyres.

I bought these tyres because of the Pirelli name, but mostly because they were on special at the time, Will definitely buy them again on special or not.
