Since 1973, it’s been standard practice for vehicles to include a placard that contains information about correct tyre use.

A vehicle placard tells you the following information:

The vehicle placard is typically located in the door jamb on the driver’s side but it can also be found in the glove box or in the fuel cap. Bottom line is, every car has one and it’ll look a little something like the one shown below.
